I hear Setanta O'hAilpin to play for Glenroy? Any truth? Aisake is said to have left Marby as well so could you get them both? Might have to wait for National, Pre season and Rookie drafts before he decides to play for the Roy boys...

Craigieburn Vice Captain and young gun, Jake Piggot playing at Glenroy in season 2012, under Cousin Lance Whitnall. Huge get for the Roys. Fit and hard at it. Could this be the year the Roys get back up to A grade?

Haven't played finals since dropping from A grade 3 yrs ago....big jump next year to just go and win flag against the likes of Taylors Lakes, West Coburg & APW.

Agree, Glenroy have been disappointing the last few years since coming back from A grade. However I do believe their forward line will do some serious damage this year and it has the potential to deliver afew upsets in September. Forward line of Whitnall, Kyte, Knox, Woodhouse plus potentially speedy young gun Stevie Boyal = they will cause some headache's. Plus the Roys were able to keep Tarvis Dullic down back and add Jake Piggot along side plus afew other recruits and I really believe they can finish top 3. Good luck to them, great club.

Apparently the Roys had 70+ at training early in the pre season but in recent weeks numbers have dropped off significantly. Also told Lance is doing a fantastic job.

Glenroy beat a strong Yarraville by 3 goals after trailling at half time. Real good hit out. Trav Dulic was best and Piggot solid.

Glenroy were very physical on the weekend against Moonee Valley and got a very strong win.
They went hard at the ball and man with their big bodies and after a first up loss to APW the Roys will be keen to show they can mix it with West Coburg and Taylors Lakes in season 2012.

Hey Brad just wondering why all the love for the Roys? Do u know something the rest of us dont? Finished 10th last year, flogged round 1 and then beat the 12th best team and now u think they can match Lakes and west cob. Any reason behind this love?

With Moonee Valley's first round easy win, I thought the Roys win was very impressive.
They have the names and quality recruits to be a force and yes do have a bit to prove to be up there and was speaking on potential.

A clinical win by the Roys on the weekend with 60 shots on goal a great effort and former Abers star Adam Dennis dominating with 6 majors in a BOG performance.
The depth at Glenroy is also a major positive this year with a rotation through the 2's needed to provide a game of footy across a healthy list and well lead by first year coach Nick County!
I hear a few more disgruntled Craigieburn players headed over this week as they'd had enough of the circus up the highway.
With a good draw particularly over the next four weeks the Roys can cement a spot in the top 3.
Credit to former Abers/KP juniors Bretty Thomas and Daniel Platt for heading back to Keilor Park this year and slugging it out each week - terrific blokes!

With a good draw particularly over the next four weeks the Roys can cement a spot in the top 3. The only top 6 side Glenroy have played has been APW and lost by 10 goals. After Jacana (next week ) and Roxburgh Park (rnd 6) I think the following 5 weeks will show if Glenroy are a top 3 side. NS, Had, WC, TL, Tulla

Can Lance Whitnall's star studded team take on the West Coburg FC in a huge blockbuster for B Grade. These 2 teams are both huge, physical teams and it is sure to be a hard game.
