Not much word coming out of Westmeadows... Have they recruited anyone, didn't seem too far off last season.

Westmeadows beat Barwon Heads easy with many of their new recruits playing good football.

Westmeadows only got done by 5 goals to Hoppers Crossing (WRFL Div 1 finalist). Westy had 9 players out of full strength.

Rodan is set to walk out not happy with things Very interesting... He was there captain at one point, still could possibly be? I'm sure it is to do with him playing at FB or CHB while Singh plays at FF. |

Westmeadows have had some pleasing results so far this year and have some exciting young/local players coming through the Senior ranks.

Peter Gleisner to coach Westmeadows in season 2013. Coached the reserves side last year, but not sure if has had any senior experience. Not to sure on how Westmeadows is going to cover some names that have left the club for season 2013. Aldridge, Ohlsen, Mullen, Gilliland, Singh, Callegari, Cindric, Velnaris brothers, and some of the reserves players from season 2012, also a few under 18 players from 2012 have headed down in Jacana for this season.

With the season about to begin just wanting to get thoughts in westmeadows for the year? Are struggling for numbers in the track. Any new decent players?

Been advised by EDFL board member Matty Pillios that Westmeadows have some quality IN's for there game this week.
Young Ruckman James Valanaris returns and former EDFL Gun midfielder from Greenvale & Pascoe Vale Hanifi Pekes will play his first game for Westmeadows FC.
Some great IN's for the Tigers who will give Northern a great show at their home ground.

Westy had a bad lose on the weekend. It's just not going well down there not enough talent, coaching is terrible surely there were other applicants for the job!! Will not win a game this year and will be in div 2 next year!!!

Could Westmeadows or Craigieburn be saved of relegation by the new team entering Division Two?

No either team shouldn't be protected from relegation! Westy are not good enough to be in div 1 and they will be going down to div 2 next year. It's been s bad year at westy, no easy teams to give a false reading of where the team is at and coach has to change they got that appointment wrong!!!!

Westmeadows picking up a few players in the off season. Many coming along with the coach from Yarraville, including Ibby Atik. Mo Kaakour and a another 2 from Marby, maybe Tamer Abdallah (former NCS captain and VFL listed player), Ohlsen has headed back to Westmeadows and they are speaking to a former Strathmore player as well.
