Congratulations to Anthony & WM on a great season in 2010. Were very much the unkown all year, were helped by a handy draw but still beat the sides around them when it counted.
Certainly looking forward to going one better in 2011.

Great effort but i believe that the only main credit was beating tullamarine in the semi final. Both performances against Pascoe Vale showed that the team was very much still developing, Pascoe Vale definitely have a mature age side and are way beyond Westmeadows in the overall skill department and wisdom of the game. Westmeadows are showing very good signs of development and if they can keep all the younger players they're developing who knows how far they can go in future years to come.

Happy new year WFC. Good to hear the coaching staff is staying from season 2010.
Are rumours true and how is the club going to deal with the loss of seniors players for season 2011.
Kelso to Greenvale
Mullen to Airport West
Calla to Airport West
Wilson to Pascoe Vale
and Turner heard going back to AGrade.
With the way the club is heading, 2011 will be a successful year for the club, but cant see WFC making AGrade til atleast 2015.

good to see westy flying under the radar - training been very phyiscal - good numbers and a few new players including 2 brothers from Greenvale - hopefully will be a great 2011 season

Was pretty unfit last year and didnt do alot in the ones. All the others you have mentioned are playing at westy this year |

Westy continue on with their great form from last season with a 27 point win against Hadfield. Great first up win against quality competition.

The B grade match of the round would be Westmeadows vs Airport West today. Both teams are quick, use the ball well and very evenly matched. Will be interesting to see how Marcus Kenny goes for the eagles. The tigers will miss Adam Turner's run and leadership. Good luck to both teams.

Agree nugget. The last 2-3 finals spots will be very hotly contested and this match is crucial to the set up. Haven't seen APW yet so hard to tip a winner... Maybe APW by a nose...

The senior coach Anthony Leydin has apparently stepped down for personal reosons after yesterday's loss.

Great news for Westmeadows signing Brad Hollow as playing Asst Coach for season 2012, including afew mates from Epping.
