Paco won their final practice match on the weekend, defeating Port Colts by 6 goals.
The Panthers have won all 3 games in the pre season and look well structured.
Anthony Franchina, Vinny Randello and Jarrod Bannister among the best throughout these games.

It was fantastic to see EDFL Footy's favourite Daniel Nolan captaining the Pascoe Vale FC on the weekend on their touch up of Port Colts. Nolan was impressive kicking 3 goals for the Panthers.

Great effort by Paco yesterday. Playing against Oak Park = Last years Grand Finalist. The Panthers were up all day and late in the 3rd quarter were up by 27 points only to get run over in the last against a quality team. Head up boys, learn from it and I reckon you will surprise afew teams in A grade this year.

EDFL Footy didn't have a chance to congratulate favorite son Daniel Nolan on his best on ground performance for Pascoe Vale on the weekend.
Nolan was sensational rotating through the middle and kicking 4 goals in the Panthers massive performance against Oak Park.
Pascoe Vale were up for most of the day and had no bench going into 3/4 time, but were just over run by the talented Oakers.

Spoke with board director Matty Pillios and he mentioned a massive crowd was down at Pacco today watching the Panthers take on Greenvale FC.
Former Jets captain Denis Bicer was close to best on ground and was huge for his team, Hanifi Pekes and the Smith brother playing against one another were also good.
He said it was an extremely high standard with Greenvale getting away late in the game and feels Pascoe Vale will make an impact for the Top 4 challenging Marby Park, Oak Park & Keilor for the 4th spot behind Jets, Strathmore and Abers.
"MATTY's BEST -
GREENVALE - Nanya, Jorgonson, Rohan, Kuret, Potter, Lenne
PASCOE VALE - Bicer, Couwenberg, Jarrod Bannister, H. Pekes, Mitch Hahn and M. Mannix
Both teams had a lot of quality out and well done to Mark Greany, David Morgan and committee's to Pascoe Vale FC for getting the club in such a strong position.

While Bicer and Pekes were solid it's a bit of a stretch to list them as anywhere near best on ground as their lack of discipline cost them a number of goals in a tight contest. Couwenberg, Bannister and Mannix were great for Pascoe Vale. For the Jets, Kuret Jorgo Rohan and Potter were best. I feel the conditions made the scoreline a lot closer than it would have been in dry weather with the Jets having 10 more scoring shots.

Got down to watch pascoe vale yesterday for the 2nd time this year and from what I've seen they have been fantastic. Would definitely be one of the tougher sides getting around and really seem to be fitting in quite well at A grade level. Yesterday showed they have some classy players and with Randello out they have all stepped up to another level. My best were couwenberg, Perri, Bicer, j bannister and Mannix. For the jets the class showed in the 3rd quarter with Jorgensen, Rohan, Kuret and farrelly really driving the ball forward. Rohan was a general and was best on ground. Good signs for pacco I reckon they can cause a few upsets this year and you never know come finals time. Greenvale will play off in the grand final for mine. Whether they win or not we will find out late September!

I also went and had a little peak at the game.
It was a fairly solid hit out for both sides and i agree with the Freak, if Pascoe Vale, concentrated more on playing the ball and less about being physical with a side like Greenvale they would have almost snatched it, but Greenvale also left the door open with some poor conversions..!

Well done last week to former Craigieburn Captain Daniel "Nugget" Nolan on a great performance for Pacco last week kicking 7.5 and continuing his great form with PVFC.
A great win for the Panthers on the weekend.

Paco really starting to hit some good form and now sit 1 game out of the four, with a good percentage. It would be massive for Bicer and co if the Panthers sneak into the four in their first year in A grade. Either way it's been a fantastic effort so far and it's a credit to the club and players!!

Going on results Pacco deserve to be favourites for the 4th spot after impressive performances against Aberfeldie and Oak Park. The losses to Avondale and Oak Park earlier in the year may come back to haunt them but I think they have got the talent and game plan to get 4th with a bit of luck.
