Fantastic to see pascoe vale doing so well and especially a few of the home grown players being in the best week in week out it's great to see. Would Bicer be a candidate for coach of the year? Done a great job.

The Paco train rolls on. They have had a fantastic first year in A grade and are still a chance to play finals. If they beat Abers at home and Oak Park beat Marby at Oak Park, then the Panthers make it. That is doubtful as Oak Park have dropped away in recent weeks but Marby have lost their last 2 games, so you never know. They have lost 5 games by under 2 goals, which may come back to haunt them Paco are tough, have some big bodies and can use the ball = very positive signs going into 2013.

One of the greats in EDFL history Denis Bicer ended a wonderful career yesterday retiring from football as player and coach.
After a small stint at Pacco in 2000, Denis came to Greenvale FC in 2002, recruited by Glenn Allison in a legendary undefeated EDFL B Grade Premiership Dream Team. He made his mark in A Grade from the start used more as a goal kicker. Was a Premiership player in 2004 for the Jets first ever Premiership.
Since then "Bice" went onto captain the GVFC, win B & F's, top 2 in the competition, Captained the EDFL A Grade Rep team & make the team of the year many times.
Denis Bicer was rated extremely high by not just his peers, but the opponants. He was tough, could run with the ball, kicked goals, was consistantly hard in and under, won clearances. What stood out for Denis was his on field leadership. He always lifted his team mates when he played. In 2011 he took on the job as Pascoe Vale FC Playing coach and 2 years after (1 Premiership and 1 great season in Premier Div) he has shown what a great job he has done.
I still remember Denis in late 2006, telling me has had signed in a different league for huge dollars. I did everything possible to talk him to stay in the EDFL & after some good negotiating from B. Kent, Denis stayed at the Jets.
Well done on a great career. I asked anyone who wants to post about Denis to write what they remember about one of the best.

Congrats to Bice on a great career. I had the pleasure of working with him in the early days of the EDFL footy show and he was a great character and has a great footy brain. Then last year in the twilight of his career i watched him take my team apart in the 2nd semi and then destroy WC in the GF with an absolute masterclass. One of the best to play in the EDFL, well done buddy and good luck for the future.

Congrats to Dennis Bicer on a magnificent career. It was he, Zeraf & Garbutt who put Greenvale on the map in those early days. His consistency was amazing over a long period of time. Racked up touches week in, week out & was kicking goals. Was one of Greenvale's best in a number of GF losses also. Well done to Bice & hope he enjoys his retirement.

Congrats on a great career Bice, A player who made everyone playing alongside him walk taller. He along with Zerafa and Garbs were the bright part of the early years of the Greenvale football club. His "all-action" style of play earned him many admirers and caused nightmares for opposing players and coaches throughout the EDFL. He'll also be known as one of the better sledgers running around. I'd like to think he'll still be involved in footy in some capacity but where ever life takes him I wish him nothing but success.

Congratulations Bice on a brilliant EDFL career – he achieved many highs and accolades throughout his playing career whilst at the same time earning the respect of his teammates and opposition.
Outside of his on field success at Greenvale and being a big part of their sustained Premier Division success he’s be an integral part of laying strong foundations for the Pascoe Vale FC and establishing themselves in the top flight.
By all reports the work he’s doing at the Western Bulldogs as Media Manager in a short period has been brilliant and sets him up for a healthy career in the AFL and greater professional sporting landscape.
Well done Bice!

Congratulations on fantastic career, at least 3 flags (BOG in one) and the heart and soul of one of the greatest teams in history of EDFL. Sad for the EDFL to lose one of the best ever and disappointing that Pacco just missed finals cos they were in great form. To be honest I thought he could still go around for a few more years yet as he still was a very effective player this year.

Agree with all the posts, Bicer has been a credit to himself in the way he has gone about it, he has been hard at it, and taken plenty that has been dished out over the time..
Leaves a big hole at Paco and i am sure we will see him screaming from the sidelines at people in the future
Well done mate!

A mate of mine from Bundoora mentioned that Cam Cloke may be heading to Pascoe Vale for next season.
