Matt Little has reportedly agreed to play for Strathmore next season. I watched him play for Bendigo this year and he will be a massive recruit if this happens.

Aberfeldie will in discussions with 4 ex - AFL players. The club does not want to go down the path of getting players & then losing younger Abers juniors, which has happened in the past. As seen, it helps to have a mix of homegrowns. This is what Greenvale & Strathmore have had in the past two premiership wins.

Former Port Melbourne VFL coach Sadi Ghazi will coach Avondale Heights in 2013.
Massive news for Pascoe Vale as they have signed guns Jessie Davies & Steve Boyall from Craigieburn. They have also recruited 2 Williamstown players and former VFL ruck Warren Carlisle.
Great start to the off season for the heights and panthers!

Signing 4 more ex afl players kind of indicates that the club is keen in buying a whole side of ex Afl types as they probably already have more than most. It's a shame because they have a lot of talented u18s coming through. Pascoe Vale apparently keen to pick up Dean Soncin (Hadfield/Northern Blues) and Jack Wallace (Hadfield/Williamstown) |

It's through association, not Aberfeldie actually going out to recruit these players.
If they did come to Abers, they would be playing for under what they can get on the crazy open market, which local football has become.
The Abers crop coming through the 18's are very good, so the club will do whatever it takes to hold on these.
Although Abers sucess in the 18's has been phenomenal, the types of players that won those flags were not or did not go onto be great senior players. Aberfeldie were "lucky" in the fact they had alot of good players, who were just not quite good enough to make Cannons or Jets.

Can anyone please confirm that Ayres, Laverde and Buttigieg have signed at Deer Park?
Boyd gone back to Spotswood???
Livingston is only 50 - 50 with his body, what he played maybe 10 games this year due to injury??
I hear Brodie has secured an x afl player, but not confirmed and with his contacts he is after a few VFL boys??

rumour mill is former tiger Kayne Pettifer is a done deal..
Wayne Patak from Spotswood, looks over the line as well..

Pattak has signed with Abers. He is a ripping bloke & will be great inclusion.
Pettifer signed a 2 year deal at Montmerency last year. But these "contracts" seem to mean nothing. He also got a job through a person at Monty. I would say he is more than likely to leave, but not 100% confirmed.

Petts not a done deal at all - of course there will be rumours due to the Richmond connection - Connors, Hartigan, Farmer hell even Richoman was at our Presentation night on Friday night!! Patak a massive signing and I can't believe anyone hasn't mentioned big Ray Jensen too!! Both quality additions!! |

Think Brooks has been thinking of making the move to Hoppers for a while as he lives out that way so not surprised.
Airport West signing up Sam Power and talking to a few other ex-dogs players is interesting.
Good signs for Abers getting big Ray Jensen and Pattak - they will bring some much needed qualities to the team. Lot's of talk about ex-AFL players but most important thing is keeping the current group together.

Keilor have picked up Trajovski, Jimmy Condos and Christian Day from Deer Park.
Murray Boyd back to Spotswood.
Deer Park/Glenn Allison are trying to buy back half the Marby side and are chasing Ayres, Laverde, Barling and Buttigieg. Knowing Marby though they'll be working hard to cover any losses with quality recruits.
