Yeah spot on. Laverde, Barling and Bailey will make a huge difference. I watched Kade against Douttas and he wasn't what he was although you never discount a champion so if he even gets to half fit come finals then Marby will be near unbeatable.
And you're right Matty and old man Larko have always had a great relationship.

I believe there was a pretty important and nasty clash at Keilor yesterday. Pask v Towner?? My word is both threw some, with Pask coming off the worst with a facial injury. Though it did leave MP 1 short for a quarter. Interesting to see what comes of it?? Can anyone who was there shed some light?

Towner went passed Pask at the break & gave a bit of lip. Nothing untoward & Pask throws a haymaker. Towner who has been hitting the bags with Brodie Holland for a few years, throws a few straights & off Pask goes to hospital. I don't think Marty has been hit that hard since he was with Liesel Jones.

Towner got 5 weeks. Having read all the varying posts on here and the other site I think it may be pretty close to fair. Whether provoked or not I guess the league can't stand for punches causing serious injuries... MP will miss his hardness, but will have him back fresh for the business end on the positive side...

i hear that Pask was actually fairly good to Towner, must have taken some responsibility for starting it? Anyway, 5 weeks sounds about right

The umpire apparently was pretty daming of Towner? Lucky Pask did the right thing else he could've got a lot more! From all reports Pask threw the first and Towner has retaliated and got him a good one. The amount of times you see people throw punches and it doesnt connect so in one sense Towner is punished becasue he actually knows how to defend himself...not condoning it but should be more done to stop any punches being thrown not just the ones that connect.

They are giving blokes 3 weeks for sling tackles in the AFL, so sending a bloke to hospital after giving him a few straight punches & he gets 5 weeks in probably not too bad. But Towner is stiff, he just knew how to throw them.

The umpires were young kids, no wonder they re acted like that. You would think they would have had some more experienced ones umpiring this game!

Wayne Carey is on the books at MP pending clearance. It will be interesting what, if any, role he has to play... Would certainly draw a decent defender. Prob not fit enough for CHF but could be handy deep. Had him at a sportsman night earlier in the year and he certainly isn't carrying any weight... Wait and see I guess...

He will play this week if it goes through or next week in the lead up to the EJ Whitten game on the 5th July at Etihad. He's after some match practice and then who knows after that. He would dominate CHF! The greatest ever - heck I might even put in a clearance to MP just to train with the great man!

How good would it to see the Duck play!! He could easily kick 10 against Doutta's.
Matty Pillios would be chumping at the bit to post a thread I reckon!!

good on marby park for getting the duck they will hopefully make a lot of money but if they think he will help them win flag that is hilarious..... He has not played for over 3 years and will not dominate EDFl But good luck to him cant wait until he plays against Abers as he was the best player alot of us has seen......
