Hi readers,
With my commitment to the Northern FL as a board Director, I decided not to post on the edflfooty.com website anymore. I do however read it daily and am enjoying the great news.
I had planned to post today as I wanted to congratulate the Maribyrnong Park FC board and all players, coaches & volunteers for their professionalism and organisation from what I saw on Saturday with Wayne Carey playing his first (and last) game of competitive football. It was great to see so many supporters (close to 4,000) at a local football match.
Funny enough today I was called out a question by a poster. I really don''t know the answer, but Barling was seen on Saturday as runner looking fit as a fiddle and I imagine he would be in Marby's Finals plans and if they get close to full strength they are Finals proven with Broadbent, Ayres, HOLLAND & co.
Best of luck to ALL E.D.F.L people and clubs for the remainder of the season.

Jack Barling has been overseas for the past 6 weeks. As most would expect he was having a good eat & drink. I dare say he would be in their finals plans. Marby rotated alot on Saturday, a few looked a little underdone. They are not finished with by a long way.

The Marby/Carey game was unbelievable and well worth it even if it didn't go as hoped. The crowd alone and exposure justified the event
On Barling thankyou Matty for taking the time to reply. Im pretty confident you know if he will be back or not as no matter where your working your still Mr EDFL and not much happens that your not across at any club let alone with one of your own clubs key players. If he was there Saturday I'll take that as back this week which will help Marby a huge amount.

With all the talk about King Carey at Marby it is time to talk about the one and only ex Geelong and Essendon strong man Sam Hunt who has played a huge part in Marby's shot at a three peat.
A gun recruit who has slotted in fantastically and will play a massive in saying how far Marby will go in the finals!

Chris Stewart and Josh Jones are heading to Montmerency for a stack of coin. Brodie is entertaining offers from Ammos/Eastern footy league clubs and won't be there next season. With numerous others linked to Deer Park, Is this the beginning of the end of the Marby juggernaut?

Brodie to coach Marby next year. Good to see him on board despite rumours circulating that he was looking to leave.

Word is that Brodie's main focus is to try and keep the current playing group together after the loss of Jones and Stewart to Montmerency. This may just be wishful thinking from the rest of the EDFL but apparently they won't be making many recruits..only time will tell on that one.

Congratulations to Craig Clinnick at his new position as Assistant Coach at Calder Cannons! As he is good mates with Brodie Holland he will still help out at Marby when time permits.

Kade Carey signed at Hoppers Crossing with good mate Aaron Ramsey. Stevie Baker also in talks with Marby as possible playing assistant. Baker is involved with Livingstone and Holland in a business called Freelife. Marby will be strong once again in season 2012.

I thought Smith had signed at Douttas? Baker has spoken to a few clubs, will be a good get for Marby if he signs.
