Cograts on a great win Bricksta! I think Billy Barham might be just the tonic for DS to re-build.
How did the two young Pegs boys go? And how did Liddy go up forward, I watched him live in the NT Grand final and he looks a dangerous player who will kick 30+ goals for the year.
Also, I've heard there was a racial incident? Can you shed any light?

WCB, Great work by Billy and the boys, he has been working well and its a great Vibe at the club at the moment. Great Feedback about him from the younger guys and the more experienced players. I only watched the first half, but i was happy with what i saw.
The Pegs boys were good for 17 year old kids, had a go and thats all you can ask of anyone.
I have heard something, but not sure and i dont want to speculate until i know the full story. All i have been told is that it is Not a Member and that the club will not stand for anything like that. The person will not be welcome into the club, if it is found to be true. We have a strong policy as a Football Club that we will not have that type of incident associated with us.
We as a club/game have come to far in the last couple of years to let things like this happen.
Liddy played deep early but moved up to a flank and become very dangerous, very quick..

Cheers Bricksta
Good to see that Tommy Black did well, he is going to be a great player and obviously a born and bred Douttas man.
In regard to racism, I think all clubs need to be united against this sort of s*it because given the talent that Abers, Douttas, Craigieburn, Avondale etc are attracting from the top end the last thing the league want is a reputation for racism. Abers have had a few incidents in the last few years which is disappointing
I'm an abers person but I'll come and watch you boys this week...and for the first time ever i'll be barracking for ya haha.

Agreed..No Place at all..
Well we are hoping to kick with a 10 goal Wind on Sat in the first qtr, be ahead at qtr time and then the rain comes..should be good.
Nuh looking forward to the contest, the boys had a real go on the weekend, and as long as they continue to do that then we will be happy!

Long day at the office for the boys on Saturday, but i dont believe the score line was a true reflection on how the boys battled all day.

Long day at the office for the boys on Saturday, but i dont believe the score line was a true reflection on how the boys battled all day. Yeah I thought they were brave - Marby just far too big and experienced. Will be a great learning curve for the younger Doutta players in 2011. Stick with the kids as they will be the big imrpovers in years to come.

Yeh i agree Douttas were unlucky a few times especially in the second term. They applied a lot of pressure early on but couldn't sustain it. What players have you got to come back into that side?

If we had kicked a little straighter in the 2nd qtr we would have been within a goal or 2 at half time. The boys kept working at it, they will learn and it was a case of Men against boys..

Does D.S have alot of injuries or are there players flying in and not playing every week? cause every week there is a completely different team playing, and with all due respect for the to the players that played, that was one of the weakest teams i've seen them field in a while? The team that the played against Avondale in round 1 will be competitive against the bottom 5 teams, any thoughts?

Not to be smart but Greenvale also had a few out. I was impressed by the endeavour of the Douttas players there's plenty to look forward to, they're obviously a young side so strength will come in time but they need to find a few talls from somewhere.

Unbelievable game on the weekend, so many twists and turns.. The result leaves TL on the Brink and gives us a little hope of survival.
Was a game riddle with errors and turnovers from the Young Stars team that had more inside 50s than TL, but as has been all season, were unable to put the score on the board. The defence stood up and although the score line looked one sided, i think you will find alot of those behinds were rushed. Good signs for the stars are the 15 of the players that played were under the age of 23.
Well the umpiring, still to this day confuses me, some decisions both ways were to say the least very very ordinary, but not much we can say about it..
Great games by yound Todd Coran, Joel Cusack, Jamie Anderson, Ben Weston. For TL i thought that Trent Lee was fantastic and that Mark Desouza and Barling worked hard all day along with Terry Knight, who i still believe in a good side, would be able to destroy sides...
