AGAIN, cause it got to hard when he wanted to change things!
I am not potting people up there, all i am saying is, the CLUB wanted a change when they
appointed him.
One player put in for clearance after a practice match cause he was dragged for doing the wrong thing, come on.
This day and age, you put your hand out for money to play the game at a "club you love" then walk out cause you dont like the coach...!

I know that Lance offered to coach this year for peanuts to help the club but the commmittes stance was that honoured their contracts. I was dumbfounded but the damage has been done now Id be surprised if they sacked him mid year.
One thing is for sure his reign at the Eagles over the past three years whether it ends tonight or at teh seasons end wil hardly be seen as a succesful one

Barnard to stay
Players had a players only meeting on Sunday night and they ALL wanted him out, said they lost faith in the coaching staff.
They told the club this and the club basically said "bad luck" he is staying.
How can the players play and he coach when there is such a great divide?

Perhaps because they have a 30k contract they want to honour, but I guess unless you are in the tent you don't really know.
What exactly do people expect will happen if someone else takes over? The club's problems do not start and end with Barnard.

Its Amazing to hear that the Players wanted him out.
Is that every Player?
Was this information passed onto the board via a text or did the players actually sit and talk with them with reasons etc.

Paul Barnard has quit as Senior coach. Apparently he asked for a contract extension for next year and the club said NO. His last game coaching will be on Saturday. Dissapointing to see the Eagles go down to B grade.

Seriously how can Barnard crack the nutss and leave after not being granted a contract extension after coaching a club to relegation, who in their right mind would resign him.
This is not Barnard bashing just dealing in facts no matter what your proffession is if you had performed like he has then you would be fired. If a manager delivers bad quartely statements he gets sacked if a paperboy fails to deliver the papers he is gone and if a coach has 3 years at a club and sees them go from a promising A grade list to the worst list in the comp he too will not be resigned. Its not bashing its just fact the fact is that the comittee stuck by him despite a large number of local talented players leaving because of him and the least he could do is see out the reminader of his contract.
If there is more to it then I apologise to Barnard but from all reports that is the case

I must agree. I don't dislike Barnard, but what he tried to do and how the club has recruited in a tough A grade hasn't worked and he needs to move on.
They must look at rebuilding. A shame as this club should be a strong A Grade Premier team.
They need the home growns back!

Interesting to say the least
People who want to know more throw berley hoping to catch some information. Those who pretend to know but don't, like to make statements they are not even close to the truth. And that leaves the ones who just want to cause issues because that is the type of people they are and report information that they know is false because they are the ones who have made it up
. All in all very distructive for the club and extremely deterring to any future coach contemplating the job who does his homework on the football community first. Coaching the players would be one thing but dealing with the followers ? Almost impossible
