Greenvale FC have signed another young an exciting Ex AFL player in former Western Bulldog Rowan Nanya.
He is a good midfielder and with the club securing a quality coach in Anthony Rock in the off season along with Cameron Wight (WB), Chris Johnson (Carlton) and a few others, the Jets would have to be tipped as a top 2.
Also, congratulations to Hayden Farrelly (U/18's) has been given a contract to the Northern Bullants VFL.

Massive news coming out of the GVFC that they may have signed Simin Goodwin off West Preston FC for the games he doesn't coach at Essendon on Saturdays.
I spoke to Anthony Rock who confirmed that this was not the case and all is going well at GVFC.

Potter played and did a good job in defence. Big Rhys played it out, not sure if he's carrying an injury though.

The Jets cruised to a comfortable win over Taylors Lakes. Lucas was dangerous up forward booting 8. Ive been particularly impressed by a few of the younger blokes stepping up in the 1s/2s.

Anthony Rock is doing a massive job with his list considering he lost Bicer, Randello, Pekes and injuries to key players Gazzo, Raines and Johnson. I believe they are still a massive flag chance and with some inclusions over the next few weeks, they could be hard to stop. A grade comp is even and the best in years.

Definitely, going about their business quietly while the hype and pressure goes to other sides, which after the past couple of years certainly isn't a bad thing. Best year of EDFL footy for a while as their is no clear best side and any of the finals sides will be capable of giving the others a touch up.

Yeah it really has been a fantastic year with the finals race still undecided. The rise of Abers and to a lesser extent Cragieburn has added an extra dimension. I have not seen Greenvale a lot this year but will definitely be a big chance in finals especially if they can get everyone on the park. I think their challenge will be matching it with others in midfield as their backline and forward line have very few weaknesses. How are their injuries? Is Raines a chance for finals?

agree that greenvale are a good side but the injuries to these players will cost them.
a great effort what they have done so far this season with those key players out

From what I'm told, Anthony Rock is a fantastic coach and doing a really good job down at the jets. He is well respected by many.

Important win for the jets today. A strong effort across the board with Nayna and Wight probably the besy on ground. The Jets were a lot harder at the ball which probably got them the points in the end. A game played with a strong breeze to one end Marby seemed to really miss livos prescence up forward. Ayres tried hard all day but didnt have his usual impact, Whichello did a great job on Lucas at full back. Marby looking likely to miss the finals.

Rumour is that Scotty Lucas did his hammy and is out for 3 weeks. If true, this is massive news for the jets going into the busy end of the season.

jets suprised me yesterday infront of a massive crowd. saw wayne carey and a couple of other afl players at the game.
greenvale looked too fast and were harder at it from opening bounce. ran the ball better and mat smith gave carey a touch up early.
marby just looked to slow. Ayres, Holland and the blonde haired mid were their only good players. livingston tried hard also.
the fights were atroscious. saw both clubs throwing cheap shots. umpires are now becoming a laughing stock having no control. nearly got ugly in the crowd.
gv vs stratmore will be a great game
