Massive news for the jets! Denis Bicer will more than likely play 8-10 games with his old club in a major shock to many, especially most from the Pascoe Vale FC.
Pending fitness & Western Bulldogs media work this is a huge get for the jetsfor its favourite son to return home.

Will find that will most likely be not playing at all and if he does it will be at pascoe vale.

A good win by the Jets at the weekend against a hapless Oak Park. G'vale close to 10 goals up at quarter time, the forward line was functioning well with Thompson, Clifton and Potter looking particularly good and Shinners got into it more as the game went on. Kuret and Jorgo were their usual consistent selves winning the ball through midfield and giving their forward first use. Campo and Brewer were good down back, Brewer, in particular, will cause teams nightmares with his long kicking capable of cutting sides to pieces. A good sign for Greenvale was that quality players like Daniel Burns, Rhys Bloomfield and Ben Hakim (10 goals) played in the earlier game. A good test of the side will come this week against a rejuvenated Keilor side at Section Rd.

A major blow to the Jets with favourite son Jacob Thompson rupturing his ACL while playing in the VFL at the weekend.

Greenvale comfortable winners at the weekend over Doutta Stars. The big thing to come from the game is I'm told that Greenvale ran out of players due to injuries. Hopefully a few of them manage to be right to go for their game vs Aberfeldie this weekend.

It looks as though the Greenvale Jets made a massive statement in the Premier Comp over the weekend.
They have an unbelievable list of so many ex AFL & VFL players and great to see Former Don & Docker Adam McPhee get best on.
Love to hear people thoughts on both sides and the game if they saw it.

Not that I saw the game Brad, but I did watch both these teams recently. Strathmore have lost 5 or 6 brilliant players - Jones, Fitzy, Groth, Carrick, Harvey etc. For mine, this is one reason you see such a difference between these sides now. The other factor is that Greenvale have got even better from last year with the additions of Brewer, Bicer and McPhee. Brewer's movement and disposal from half-back is first class while McPhee can play anywhere on the ground and dominate. The Jets for about 1 and half quarters lifted the intensity against Abers and kicked 9 out of 10 goals and that was without Jorgenson, Wight, Bloomfield etc. They are still flag favourites for me given their experience. Still a long way to go before finals but if they keep their stars on the park then they will be very hard to stop.
