Greenvale by 12pts. Can't see any other side getting near either barring a bad run with injuries, so likely a Grand Final preview this week.

Greenvale by 15 points.
Interesting to see if they show all their cards though, considering they will most likely play each other in the big dance.
3rd and 4th spot on the ladder this year is irrelevant - cant win it

Terrific win by Greenvale yesterday in tough conditions. Both teams were without a number of key players but the Jets were more clinical and deservedly ran out winners. The Jets were very tough in the stoppages and hurt Abers on the counter. Their ability to absorb pressure was very impressive especially in the first quarter where Abers were in control. The toughness of Bicer and the leadership of Rohan were stand outs.
Abers missed a number of chances, no more so than when kicking with the breeze in the first quarter. The Gorillas third quarter was promising along with the performance of youngsters Rhys Moylan and Zac Hislop. A dangerous small forward was lacking at times but overall there was plenty to like about their performance given they played with a man down all day. They can ill afford to be as wasteful in front of goal come finals.

Julian, seems to be a fair summary, can you give us an Indication as to who the outs were for both sides?

Hey Bricksta, Freak would be in far better position to answer this but McPhee and Jorgo were the obvious ones missing for the Jets. They also had Bloomfield in the twos and could even opt for a Hakim in finals.
For Abers, O'Brien, Toy and Tipungwati were playing for Essendon reserves and all would be in best 22. You also had Sharp and Castellano who are small forwards that could come in. Also, Jacob Hislop was knocked out in first couple minutes which meant Abers were down a player.
I think both teams didn't reveal a lot, will be very intriguing how they line up in finals.
Hey Freak, what you think of the game?

Great wrap up as always Julian. Greenvale: McPhee, C Burns, Jorgo, Josh Smith, Shinners Abers: O'Brien, Toy, Tipungwuti (possibly more, I'm not that familiar with Abers list) Both sides also had quality running around in the earlier game as well. Tactically I suspect it'll be a different kind of game next time with not a great deal of defensive effort being put in this time around, with prime movers from both sides getting plenty of time and space.

Impressive display from Greenvale on the weekend. They had much more run and looked to be really switched on with improved performances across the board. Hey Freak, did you see the whole game? I only saw second and third quarters but it is shaping to be an unbelievable contest next week.

It was a good performance by Greenvale at the weekend with a number of players regaining a bit of touch and importantly a bit of confidence after a disappointing display the week before. I was particularly impressed by the efforts of Sardo and Zumbo (who has improved immensely this season due to his affilitation with Werribee) With Bloomfield missing, Shinners was able to slot into the side without changing the structure dramatically and as an added bonus enabled the Jets to field three athletic talls (Potter, Wight and Shinners)who all provided a bit both offensively and defensively. Luckily for Greenvale they had a comfortable lead for much of the gam, so it lacked some of the heat & niggle of a closer encounter which would have otherwise taken a bit more out of the boys. The Jets had the luxury of resting M Smith, Kuret and McPhee for stretches of the second of the second half. Abers will rightfully go into the Grand final as red hot favourites but if Greenvale come in with the right mindset they're capable of pulling off the upset.

Congratulations to Greenvale on a fantastic victory yesterday in a terrific game of EDFL football. Greenvale's pressure all day was unbelievable and the longer the game went the harder it was for Abers to find a way through the swarm. Eric Kuret was rightfully awarded best afield in a monumental performance in the centre, demonstrating exactly why he is rated no.1 in the league. The Jets punished any turnover with clinical counter attacking, stunting any potential for Abers to build momentum. McPhee, Bicer, Dean Smith, Gazzo, Campisano and Aloi all made crucial contributions and showed their experience with cool heads throughout, while for Abers El Houli was the standout on a day where a number of players were down on their usual output due to the relentless pressure from the Jets. Full credit to the Jets for back to back flags, they have definitely deserved more over the journey after so much heartache in previous grand finals. Now the young club are able to celebrate a fourth senior A-grade premiership, just reward for Bruce Kent, Anthony Rock and all involved.
