Airport West have continued their aggressive recruiting campaign in the off season, getting back gun midfielder Brent Gordon. He won APW best and fairest in 2010 then played a year at Kilmore with mates. Brent is a classy player with fantastic skills.

Brent Gordon has knocked back APW offer, apparently it was embarrassing. Disappointing considering he won the club B&F in 2010.

Pretty sure the likes of Wiggins and Harris would be close to the toughest players at those clubs, I'm sure they'll be fine.

The only concern about APW is their lack of a quality Ruckman. They can recruit the best onballers but if they dont get first hands on the footy, thats a worry. Dont get me wrong, they are still short priced favourites to win the flag but need a Ruckman.

Where is Scott MacAlister playing? The kid can play and is a massive asset to any team.

Where is Scott MacAlister playing? The kid can play and is a massive asset to any team. Played up the bush in the Ballarat League this year, I read/was told that he was coming back to APW for 2012 but that was over a month ago and I haven't heard or seen anymore so will have to wait and see.

Steven Kenna has left Airport West and signed with ex Cburn mates down at Kilmore. Quality player and bloke, will be missed down at APW.

Congrats to Marcus Pappa on a fantastic career. He is a champion both on and off the field and someone I have alot of respect for. Well done mate and all the best in the future.

jury is still out on APW, they lose pappa who is one of the best local footballers ive ever seen, big call but thats the truth. Macilster wont be going back to apw he is playing in the country and i read that S kenna is gone didnt see much of him but heard he could play.
i know the big signings but who else is on board? anyone from edfl teams?
lacking pace by the sounds of things.

Pace you claim is missing ? AW have had the fastest team for 3 years no question no doubt. They have now secured the bigger bodies they needed finally. Lets talk Kenna, Pappa & McAllister none of these guys were considered as pacey players just very skilled. They have well and truly covered any exits / retirements with pace talls & strength dont forget the now playing 4 ex AFL guys either for thier experiance & talent. Jury is still out on as it is only March. AW v Glenroy R1 will be a cracker?
