Players are always going to be upset if they don't get a look in, time will only tell if they are good enough. I'm sure Contessa knows what he is doing. |

What an absolute sensational game this could be.
Contessa vs Haoucher in the middle will be a match up for the fans.
Grainger, Stewart up forward will test the Eagles tall back and Hamilton in the ruck will have a big dual against Hopkins.
Jack Ibrahim my mail is from Matty Pillios may have the biggest task in B Grade footy if he plays getting the job on one of the comps best tall forwards..

Congratulations from all the edflfooty.com fans to APW Superstar and favorite son Ricky McVeigh on game number 250 for the club.
He has been the heart & soul with Marcus Pappa for the past 7 or so seasons for the Eagles.
A champion bloke in career best form and enjoying having some bigger bodies to assist him this season.

Would Airport West have the highest wage bill that Div 1 footy has ever seen? The pressure to get into Premier league with that squad will be massive come finals time.
They comprehensively beat West Coburg earlier in the year but just imagine if they dont take out the premiership. Could they afford it all again next season in Div 1?

Really disappointing news with David Saliba needing a full knee reco. He is a great player and bloke. He will be missed come finals time on the big stage.

Congratulations APW on your demolition of the Lakers today! Will go into the grand final as the shortest priced favourites in the history of Div1/B Grade football.
All the best for the Grand Final. Should be a cracker of a game. I just hope West Coburg can sneak the win as the clear underdogs!

Congratulations Airport West FC,
Really put in after being down early and didn't lose the plot when things turned ugly later.
A good bunch of blokes down there so good to see them get the rewards for their hard work.
Will be good to see how well this team goes in Premier Div. next season.

As a West Coburg supporter I would like to apologise for the onfield discipline/behaviour of my team and I really hope the club follows and reacts quickly to these unfortunate and embarassing incidents.
Please do not judge West Coburg as a whole on these incidents as there are alot of hard working, fantastic people involved who don't deserve the criticism.
Good luck in Premier division next season!

Brad I don't think many, if any people are judging West Coburg on this, a few blokes lost their cool and acted in a cowardly manner. Though for every peanut acting out there were 5/6 who were faultless, take Rabee separating a number of clashing players for example. It's a bad look for the club and a league as a whole but I'm sure Wests will be thinking of ways to fix their tarnished image. West Coburg as a whole does a lot of good that not too many people will think about too much. |

Some digraceful acts yesterday from Fitaax, Smith & Lillino. Games of footy are played with passion & even more so in a Grand Final. But these were not toe to toe acts. These are the kind of acts were someone is going to get seriously hurt as there is no defensive mechanisms in the body when you don't know something is coming. I think the EDFL will be coming down very hard on this.
