Pace you claim is missing ? AW have had the fastest team for 3 years no question no doubt. They have now secured the bigger bodies they needed finally. Lets talk Kenna, Pappa & McAllister none of these guys were considered as pacey players just very skilled. They have well and truly covered any exits / retirements with pace talls & strength dont forget the now playing 4 ex AFL guys either for thier experiance & talent. Jury is still out on as it is only March. AW v Glenroy R1 will be a cracker? They've recruited very well and obviously recruited the right kind of players, Wiggins and Contessa are highly regarded for their team first attitudes. Will be interesting to see how APW handle favouritism to take it all out as we've seen quite a few "can't miss" options falter in both A and B grades. Though they certainly have reason to be quietly confident.

Mick Martin, d Harris, wiggins, contessa are these guys quick? Captain mcveigh? I think they've added exactly what they need, I am also addressing some deficiencies n how can u say that they are the fastest team in the comp? Named 5 of your best n not one of them are above average pace. A good team has a mixture n I can't think of many names that are on the other side of the scale? Not one quick recruit??

Airport West pumped North Albury on the weekend with all the new recruits very impressive.

Went down to apw watched 2s n first half of seniors. Port colts much bigger bodies, saw some big names running around in the 2s, David Corouzo, Chad Gauchi, Young Aloi considering David tough mid won the bnf last year and Chad who can play at either end played seniors at keilor.
In saying that Seniors looked really good, didn't recognize many. Round 1 should be a cracker. Tipping a close one.

APW beat Port Colts by 10 goals and Albury by 3 goals over the pre season. There has been alot of talk/hype about APW over the summer and I believe its all worth it.
They have recruited leaders, skill, match winners, men and have kept most of last years team.
I know the players and the club are trying to talk it down and keep a lid on its but VERY exciting times down at the nest.
They have realised that you need to spend $$$ to win a flag and they have been excellent in that process.

Looks like APW have looked down the back of the couch and found a little extra money, according to the clearance section on the EDFL website they have picked up ex-Carlton ruckman Adrian DeLuca.

I heard APW looked every good on the weekend, with all there recruits playing well. Is it true a couple of players did there hammy, number 3 off the HB line was apparently in fine form before the injury.
10 goal win against a side tipped to make the finals is a fair effort. Must be early premiership favorites...

Scroll up the page guys and let me see who you think is favourites for this weeks massive match.
Even though APW lost to Haddy I think they would be favourites when you consider it is at their ground and with the massive amount of imports they have.
KD tells me West Coburg are favourites but I disagree. What are your thoughts?

I think West Coburg function better as a team and are always a really physical team so I believe they'll be able to unsettle Airport West and get the win.

I think until APW prove they can knock off a top side they will continue to go into games like this as the underdog.
